"We really liked staying at Tutzil Nah Cottages. Gregorio and his family are very friendly and treated us very well. The food was great and the tour to Cockscomb with Julian was excellent and beautiful. It’s a great opportunity to stay here and meet the locals in their field. If we go to Belize another time we will definetly go to Maya Center and Tutzil Nah, we really liked this place. Thanks for letting us stay with you.

Welcome to Tutzil Nah Cottages!

If you are dreaming about a unique, authentic and undiscovered adventure, the Chun family invites you to Tutzil Nah Cottages in Maya Center Village where your stay, tours and adventures with us promise to be absolutely memorable ones.

Maya Center is a small Mopan Mayan village, with a population of some 300 people located in the Stann Creek District just off the Southern Highway in southern Belize. We are only 10 miles from the beautiful sandy beaches of Hopkins Village and about 25 minutes drive to the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary (Jaguar Reserve.)

On the regular daily buses from Belize City, Belmopan and Punta Gorda which passes by Maya Center village.

Tutzil Nah Cottages is small family business. The three brothers, Gregorio, Ouscal, and Julian have over 12 years of guiding experience and the Chun family has many cooks who can dish up traditional Mayan and Belizean food for you. Our family will share with you our knowledge of the local birds, wildlife and plants as well as our way of life such as, what we eat and how you make it and the natural medicines we use from the jungle – our home.

On occasion you may be the only guest. But no matter, whether you’re alone or in a group, the Chun family will give you friendly and personalized service.
