Julian is a great guide, especially through the rapids on the kayak trip. Highlight of Belize so far – landing my kayak less than ½ a foot away from a crocodile and not even seeing it, until I nearly put my hand on his head! Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve nature walks: Bird watching, plant and insect identification, Tube floating, swim in the jungle waterfall maybe possibility of seeing Howler Monkey, Peccary, Quatimundi or maybe even one of the wild cat species.

Night Hike:
Fireflies dancing along the path the silence and darkness of the Cockscomb jungle with your torchlight, chances of hearing Howler Monkey howling and chances of sightings of pacca, Kinkajou, Peccary, Anteater and maybe a jaguar or other cat species .

Hike to the Antelope Falls waterfalls or hike a steep trail along a lush creek to a waterfall at the top and a spectacular view.

Cockscomb river kayaking:
Run the Cockscomb jungle river in the Stearns latest one-person soft shell kayak. Floating through the dense jungle canopy, spotting Birds, Iguanas, and flowering plants, kingfishers darting in the water. On most trips we do see four legged animals on the riverside.

Back packing expeditions:
Overnight Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve Hike. Walk deep into the jungle identifying track, birds, wildlife, plants, trees en-route. At 3:00am go on a night hike where fireflies dance along the waterway. Your screened tent will be provided and pitched on a bed of Cohune Palm leaves. Bottled water and all food will be packed in by Manuel a delightful porter who is learning to be a guide.
